Crash Game Algorithm Patterns – Can You Predict the Results?
Have you ever wondered how a crash game really works? What’s happening behind the scenes? How do you catch those 100X multipliers? Yeah, well, you’re not alone. We’ve dedicated much of our time to this matter and are happy to share our knowledge.
So is there an algorithm behind crash games?
Yes, all crash games feature some sort of a random number generator algorithm.
🔑 Key Takeaways:
- The algorithms behind crash games cannot be hacked. They are set up so that even a team of highly skilled hackers cannot break the code.
- Crash games do not have patterns. The results are completely random, and patterns cannot be identified.
- There are three different types of crash betting algorithms: simple RNG crash algorithms, certified fair crash game algorithms, provably fair crash game algorithms.

What is a Crash Game Algorithm?
A crash game algorithm is a piece of code, a software procedure designed to pick a random number from 1 to 1,000,000 (or whatever the maximum multiplier is in a particular crash game). The number that it picks is the point at which the crash game payout multiplier crashes.

Every single game out there!
All casino games, not just crash, are based on some sort of an algorithm.
Despite there being more than one kind of crash game algorithm, they are all responsible for generating the randomized result of the game, and they dictate when the payout multiplier crashes.
There are 3 different types of crash betting algorithms:
- Simple RNG crash algorithms
- Certified fair crash game algorithms
- Provably fair crash game algorithms
How Does a Crash Game Algorithm Work?
Here are the exact algorithm steps a simple crash gambling algorithm takes to generate a game result:
- The random number generator algorithm picks a random number.
Before a round of crash begins, the RNG algorithm already picks out a random number between 1 and the highest value multiplier determined by the game provider. Let’s say a number between 1 and 1000. - The game starts!
You see the rocket take off, and you’re hoping that it reaches those juicy multipliers. But little do you know that you only watch a show with a predetermined result. Remember, the RNG of the crash game already decided on a number between 1 and 1000 beforehand. - The game ends.
If you’re lucky enough to cash out before the multiplier crashes, then you’re all set! However, if you decided to cash out at a multiplier that was higher than the predetermined RNG result, you lose it all. It’s all just a guessing game if you pick a cashout multiplier lower than the number that the algorithm for the crash game picked, you win! If not, try again!
Sound very simple, right? It is, and with a simple RNG algorithm, this process could easily be rigged to favor the casino. This opens up an age-old question:
Couldn’t casinos just tamper with the results and make players lose?
Good question. They could, and we’re sure it happened before.
Since the introduction of crash games in 2014, players have pushed casinos and game providers to provide proof that the algorithm behind the game indeed generates randomized game results. A few years later, simply stating that the game is based on a random number generator just isn’t enough.
Modern crash games are generally based on two different crash gambling algorithms:
- Certified PRNG algorithms
- Provably Fair RNG algorithms
Certified PRNG Crash Gambling Algorithms
A PRNG or a Pseudo Random Number Generator is a software-based random number generator that works without any external influence. Based on a range of outcomes, known as the seed value, the PRNG algorithm will randomly generate crash game results on its own.
While it is theoretically possible to learn the pattern of this algorithm (hence the “Pseudo” part) if you somehow decode the seed value, it is worth mentioning that you’ll need a lifetime or more to do so.
RNG Certificates
Certified PRNGs are tried and tested by independent laboratories like Gaming Labs International (GLI) and iTech Labs.
Independent laboratories such as Gaming Labs International (GLI) or iTech Labs test game providers’ RNG and certify only those that assure players of truly randomized game results. The downside? You have to trust the certificate; there’s no way to check the fairness in real-time.
Provably Fair Crash Gambling Algorithms
Provably fair RNG crash gambling algorithms are used in the so-called “Provably fair crash games”. We use this term a lot in our casino reviews. Crash games built on the provably fair gambling algorithm guarantee complete transparency and fairness.
It’s much easier to understand this algorithm on an example. We’ll use Stake casinos’ own Stake Originals Crash game as our example.
Here are the exact steps a provably fair crash game algorithm takes to generate a fair and transparent game result:
- The casino generates a server seed value.
As soon as you choose to play the Stake Originals Crash game, the casino will automatically generate what is called an “Active served seed”. This casino-side seed number gets hashed using a cryptographic mathematical hashing function. This makes it completely secure and unique per each round of crash. - The player generates his own seed value.
Just like the casino, you too can generate your own “Active client seed”, which can be anything, even the name of your dog. Your seed also gets hashed using the cryptographic hashing function, meaning that the casino can in no way decode what your actual seed value was. If you do not choose to select your own active client seed value, the casino will assign you a randomized seed value. - Your hash value is combined with the casinos’ hash value.
To get randomized game results, both your hash value and the hash value of the casino are combined and hashed to produce the final hash value, which determines the game’s results. - The game ends.
So how do you check if the game was genuinely fair, why can’t the casino tamper with this process? Well, for one, the hashed seed values cannot be decrypted. If you pick your own seed value, the casino can in no way decode what it is. Nonetheless, it’s a good question, and we will get to it in a second.
We used Stake’s original crash game in this example, but you can do the same in games like Crash by BC Originals, which also provides a really user-friendly interface for checking fairness in real-time.
Games like Aviator by Spribe take things even further by combining multiple hashed player seed values with the hashed casino seed value in order to generate a single randomized game result.

Can You Predict the Outcome of a Crash Game?
The short answer is no, you cannot predict the outcome of a crash game.
There’s a lot of talk about whether this is possible or not. And while we do agree that nothing’s impossible, you’re more likely to see Santa on Christmas than hacking a crash gambling algorithm.
Somehow hacking the crash gambling algorithm and knowing when those 100X multipliers will pop off sounds like heaven.
But are you going to be able to do it? No, not even in your wildest dreams.
Breaking the data encryption process and somehow knowing which client seed and which server seed will be used in the next round is impossible.
There’s a lot more concern that casinos themselves could find ways to manipulate these algorithms, making them gain an edge over the players. However, there is no incentive for them to do so.
House always wins
The house still always wins by taking a house edge, and no smart casino operator would dare to lose clients by tampering with game results.
You must realize that at any given moment, at least a few people verify the game results. As soon as there was the slightest sign of result manipulation, the entire situation could “blow up” the casino’s reputation.
Can You Analyze the Crash Game Patterns?
Unfortunately no, you will not be able to analyze the patterns of a crash game because patterns simply do not exist in modern crash games.
There have been serious attempts in the past, and you can find these on Reddit, but somehow, scraping the past 10,000 results of a crash game and analyzing them with pattern recognition software will not bring you any results.
Now, if you plan on taking a pen and noting down the game’s results in hopes of finding some patterns manually, I’d say it’s definitely not worth your time.
That being said, I still kind of like the strategy from Steve WillDoIt, where he waits for 5+ rounds of the multiplier crashing below 2X and then places the bets as he suspects that the low-multiplier range is bound to finish.
Can Chrome Browser Extensions Predict Crash Game Results?
Let’s keep this short, the answer is no. No browser extension, magical app, or any person trying to sell you crash game hacks can trick the crash gambling algorithm and predict the results. It’s all a scam, a marketing ploy, or a phishing attack, be careful!
We’re sorry to inform you that there are also no real or working crash game sequence finders out there.
We’ve seen some sequence finders sell for up to $1000, and believe us when we tell you they do not work.

Simple RNG-based crash games
These games get a big no-no from us. They are based on your standard, run-of-the-mill random number generator with no certification. There’s no way of knowing if the game is rigged or fair, you’re at the mercy of the RNG.
Lucky for you, there are very few to no crash games that are based on such algorithms. And there sure ain’t any in our top-rated casinos.
