I often refer to the Stake Originals Crash game as the best original crash game. And I stand behind that fact. The only game that could ever compare is the BC Originals Crash game. So what makes Stake’s Crash game so darn good?
In our opinion, it’s the attention to detail and sticking to the features that players actually need. But that’s not all.
Here’s what’s to come:
- Essential game information (RTP, house edge, algorithm…)
- I’ll show you where you can play the Stake crash game
- I’ll deliver the results of our hands-on play-testing process
- I’ll show you how the game is played in all modes
- I’ll explore all the game’s features
- And I’ll grade the game by listing all the pros and cons

Where Can You Play The Stake Crash Game?
As the full name of the game suggests, the Stake Originals Crash game is only available at Stake casino. There’s nothing wrong with that, in fact, it’s great. Read our full Stake casino review to see why it took the 2nd place on our list of top-rated crash casinos!
The second suggestion you might have caught is the “Originals” part. Stake’s crash game is an original crash game.
What is an original crash game?
Several things make original crash games stand out. The fact that they are more rewarding and provably fair is only the beginning.
Original crash games usually come with higher RTP as well, check out our list of high RTP crash games, Stake’s game is up there with the best! Stake’s crash game also took home the silver medal in our list of best provably fair crash games!
Hence the name “original”!
Original crash games are exclusively avaliable at the casinos that develop them.
But can you really trust casinos to develop their own games, can’t they just orchestrate the results in their favor?
No, they can’t. All original crash games are built on a provably fair RNG algorithm, which prevents all possibility of tampering with the game’s results.
P.S.: Stake’s original crash game also topped our list of the biggest and luckiest crash gambling wins!
Gameplay Experience
Before I dive deep into all the nitty-gritty details of each game, we first evaluate the gaming experience both on our desktop devices and our smartphones. But that’s not all we do; we have a process in place that allows us to write these reviews based on experience.
Our process is a mix of both fun and investigative work, here’s how it looks:
- I assign 3 team members to a single game.
- We review the basic game information and verify it.
- We play-test the game intensively.
- We share our experiences and join them in our game review report.

Stake Originals Crash – Gameplay Report
For those of you in a rush, let’s recap our overall impression of this game with a single word: Outstanding!
I do, however, need to kick things off with a slight disappointment. Gathering the basic game information was more challenging than we would have wished or anticipated.
We were able to find the information on RTP/house edge and algorithm, but there is no direct display of the maximum bet, the minimum bet, and the maximum win amount.
Stefan, the kind support agent, provided all the answers, but it’s something that could be conveyed upfront.
The information I got was really good. There are absolutely no maximum bet amounts, the minimum bet limit is extremely low (on crash), and there are no maximum win limits. Incredible!
Crazy maximum multiplier
The maximum payout multiplier of Stake’s crash game is 1,000,000X!
Desktop version
Playing the Stake crash game on our MacBooks was a dream. The game is incredibly smooth, and we did not notice any signs of lag or game crashes. Since it was one of the early crash games, it holds a special place in crash gambling’s history, and it had the time it needed to improve over the years.
Sure, one could say that the design of the game could be a bit more intriguing, but all our team members agreed that it’s visually pleasing and that the smoothness of the game greatly outweighs the lack of advanced design.
The betting process is fuss-free both in manual and advanced mode. We didn’t notice any betting delays or malfunctions. Our automated cashout settings were always correct and fault-free.
Despite featuring a real-time live bet system for all players, the game remained smooth, as did the display of live bets. We loved the fact that despite setting a pre-determined cashout multiplier, we could still cash out at any given moment.
The big green “Bet” button is incredibly responsive, which is not something we can say for many crash games
Mobile version
Stake’s crash game is mobile-ready, and frankly, we would expect nothing less from a casino powerhouse like Stake.
The mobile version of Stake Originals Crash is fantastic. Mobile Stake crash game is just as smooth and responsive as the desktop version we just reviewed. Every setting and option is easy to find.
The buttons are well-adapted to various mobile screens. They are easy to click and big enough to prevent misclicking. We’ve tried the game both on larger iOS devices (iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22) and smaller devices (iPhone 6s).
None of our smartphones had problems running this game, not even our 7-year-old iPhone 6s.
We can’t say the same for some design-heavy casino games that tend to heat up our older devices and cause some lag.
Stake’s crash game features a lightweight design that is not only suitable for older devices but also for playing on a weaker mobile or wifi connection. This game is truly mobile-ready!
Final Verdict
It’s no surprise that Stake’s crash game reigns as one of the most popular crash games out there. After about a day of testing, all of our team members were excited about this game, and it’s easy to see why. This thing is smooth!
How to Play Crash on Stake
Right off the bat, I have to congratulate Stake’s crash game on keeping things simple. When it comes to playing, this game is perfectly suited for both the absolute beginner and the crash gambling enthusiast. If you’re asking yourself “How does crash work on Stake”, you came to the right place.
For all of you that are new to crash gambling I’ve actually prepared an entire how-to-play guide for crash games! Since every game comes with certain specifics, I’ll also show you how to play Stake’s crash game on its own.
Manual Mode
Playing in manual mode gives you full control over what’s happening, so I always recommend beginner crash gamblers to start out here. The image below shows the manual betting interface of Stake’s crash game.
The first window in the manual betting interface is the “Bet Amount”. This is where you enter the amount of funds you’re willing to risk in the next round of crash.
Don’t get carried away.
If you’re playing with Bitcoin or Ethereum, keep the dollar amount of your bets in mind! Don’t get carried away.
Below the bet amount window is the “Cashout At” option. This is where you enter the payout multiplier at which you want to cash out your winnings automatically. As I mentioned before, Stake’s crash game also allows you to cash out at any given moment before the multiplier rises to your payout level.
All that’s left to do now is to click the bet button and enter your first round of Stake crash.
Before you click the big green “Bet” button, Stake’s betting interface tells you exactly how much you’re going to profit if you win, which is great.
Once the round ends, you have approx. 6 seconds to adjust your bet size and payout multiplier, and click the bet button again. If you need more time, you can skip a round and take all the necessary time.
Auto Mode
Once you’ve mastered the manual betting mode, Stake’s crash game allows you to grow into a true crash gambling professional with a set of amazing betting automation features. The image below shows Stake’s automated crash betting interface.
This advanced betting interface allows you to:
- Set a bet amount
Just like in the manual betting mode, you set a bet amount you’re willing to risk. - Cashout at a predetermined payout multiplier
This function is also the same as in the manual betting mode, but there’s an additional window called “Number of bets”. With this additional setting, you can set several automated bets. If you leave it at 0, it will bet until you’re either crazy rich or completely broke. - Increase your bet amount on a win
This is where the fun starts. Stake’s auto-betting interface allows you to increase the bet amount on every win by a certain percentage. - Increase your bet amount on a loss
If you encounter a loss and want to make up for it in the next round, you can increase the bet amount by a certain percentage.
Advanced stake crash strategies
Through these options, you can implement many advanced betting strategies, such as the martingale strategy.
Check out our full guide on crash gambling strategies to learn more about all the Stake crash strategies you can implement.
But we’re not done yet with our advanced betting options in this game. The last two options allow you to either stop the automated betting process when you hit a certain profit level ($100, for example), or you can choose to stop the auto bets once you lose a certain amount of funds.
Once you’ve configured your settings, all you need to do is hit the big “Start Autobet” button and keep your fingers crossed. Good luck!
Additional Game Features
I’ve already covered our favorite feature of this game, the incredible betting automation features. But there’s much more than that in Stake’s crash game. Because I dislike rigged crash games as much as you do, I have to start with Stake’s provably fair system.
1. Stake Crash Provable Fairness
To get a green light for original game development, Stake had to implement a provably fair random number generator algorithm into their crash game. And they did an amazing job.
I’ve recently talked about Bitsler’s Original crash game, Rockepot’s crash game, and Thunderpick casino’s amazing Thunder Crash game, which are all provably fair crash games, but I have to point out just how much more user-friendly Stake’s provably fair interface is.
You can find everything you need for fairness verification in the little “Fairness” tab in the bottom right corner.
Once you click on the fairness button, you’re faced with an interface where you can:
- See the active client seed
- See the active server seed (hashed)
- The number of bets made with the pair
You can also set a new custom client seed, which can be anything, even the name of your dog. This seed will later be hashed with the help of a cryptographic hashing function and combined with the hashed server (casinos) seed value, which, when combined, generates a random game outcome.
To learn more about this process, check out our guide on crash gambling algorithms.
Checking the fairness is super simple in Stake’s crash game. I recommend you use Stake’s calculation tool or a 3rd party verification tool.
To check the fairness of each round, you first need some data on that round. You can open the data of each round by clicking on the outcome (arrow number 1, image below).
All there’s left to do is copy the hash and the seed (arrow number 2, image above) of the round and paste it into the game verification tool. You can also just click the “Verify Game” button, but we felt better using Stake’s calculation tool, which breaks down the actual math.
Our experience
Every game result we checked on Stake.com was indeed provably fair. No worries here!
2. Multiplayer Experience
One thing is for sure: you’re never the only one playing Stake’s crash game, nor will you ever feel alone. With a live player leaderboard and player results, we found it very interesting to see how much other crash gamblers were betting and winning!
Arrow number 1 shows where you see the player’s bets and their predetermined payout multipliers. You can also see how many players are participating in each round and what the total wagered bet amount is.
Arrow number 2 shows you the live game results of each player. This function just makes the game a bit more interesting, we loved it!
Below the game, you can also find a record of all your bets, all game bets, and more!
3. Hotkeys
Tired of having to sit behind your desk and play with your mouse or touchpad, Stake’s got you covered.
By clicking on the game settings gear icon, you can enable the hotkeys that allow you to control the game with your keyboard. There are 5 predefined hotkeys that allow you to place a bet, double or halve the bet amount, zero your bet amount, or cancel/cash out your bet.
This is a super useful option, especially with a wireless keyboard!
4. Stake Crash Max Bet
Caution! Use this option responsibly! Stake’s max bet option allows you to gamble with every single penny available in your wallet. There are only two options once you use this option. You’re either going to win big, or you’re losing it all in a single bet.
You can engage this function in the game setting. Once engaged, a small “Max” button will appear in your betting interface.
Max betting is super dangerous, some Stake players even believe it’s cursed. We’ve never tried it.
5. Big Wins, Lucky Wins and Challenges
Right below the game interface, you’ll find the game name and a little trophy icon. Click on that icon to reveal the big wins, lucky wins and challenges tabs.
This tab first reveals the biggest wins ever in Stake’s crash game. The biggest win ever in the Stake Originals crash game was worth a whopping 8,2 BTC!
This player wagered 3,2 BTC and cashed out on a 2.56X multiplier. The price of one Bitcoin at the time of his bet was a whopping $46,000. This player won approximately $377,200!
Lucky win!
The highest multiplier ever cashed out on Stake’s crash game was 31,706X! A player that won this multiplier turned 0,00019 LTC into 6,024 LTC!
There were no crash-exclusive challenges during the time we reviewed this game, but you should definitely keep an eye out for those for some juicy rewards!
