Crash X by Turbo Games was released in 2021, and right off the bat, we knew Turbo Games was going to be a brand to watch out for in the world of crash gambling. Two years later, at the time of writing this review, we believe our prediction was correct!
👉🏼 Crash X enriched the classic crash gambling concept by adding a military ranking system that keeps gameplay super fun!
When you add to that engaging military ranking system dual betting interfaces, great betting automation features, and superb gameplay, you have a winner.
Gameplay Experience
To make sure you’re not just reading the opinion of one person, our team put together a review process that allows us to review crash games without letting subjective opinions dominate the review.
Desktop Gaming Experience
Playing Crash X on desktop devices is flawless. None of our team members had any complaints about issues like betting delays, game crashes, bugs, or anything similar. It’s clear that professionals developed this game.
Everything in the game is clearly displayed, the buttons are big enough to allow for comfortable clicking on all screen sizes, and the gameplay is as smooth as can be.
The rocket animation you can see in the image above is smooth, aesthetically pleasing, and we like the fact that the multiplier number is very big and “in-your-face”. This game will also satisfy any crash gambler that is looking for fast-paced crash gambling action.
If you ever find yourself playing Crash X on a weaker internet connection, the game allows you to turn off the rocket animation, which makes the game more “lightweight”.
You can find the “Animations” toggle in the menu in the top right corner of the game.
Mobile Gaming Experience
We’re happy to say that our mobile gaming experience was just as good as our desktop gaming experience.
However, in terms of mobile usability, we do have two complaints:
- The settings button in the top right corner of the game is a bit too small which can be quite annoying when you’re trying to access the settings.
- The button in the betting interface that engages the auto betting mode is similarly tiny on mobile as it is on desktop. Pressing it with your finger, especially on a smaller mobile device (like our iPhone 6S), is uncomfortable.
Aside from those two minor complaints, we loved the fact that you could also turn off the game animations on mobile devices and that the mobile gameplay was as smooth as it could be.
The mobile game interface is well rearranged to fit the smaller screens, and it doesn’t cut out any of the functions we loved on the desktop version of the game. You can still use both betting interfaces on mobile, which is great!
Gameplay Options
We recently reviewed the incredible RPG crash game called “Goblin Run,” which allows you to choose your character before you start playing Crash, but there’s none of that in Crash X. There is, however, a way to build up your ranks inside this game.
We’ll tell you all about that later, but for now, let’s cover how to play the games in both manual and auto mode so you can start climbing up the ranks!
Manual Mode
If you’ve read our guide on how to play crash games, then you’ll have no problems playing Crash X. Nonetheless, we’ll still cover all the specifics of this game and guide you through every possible setting and option.
Let’s kick things off in manual betting mode. The manual betting mode gives you complete control over the game, and it’s perfect if you’re new to this game or crash gambling in general.
To play Crash X in manual mode, you’ll need to do the following:
- Decide on a bet amount in one or both betting interfaces
- Decide on an auto cashout multiplier
- Click the “Place Bet” button to enter the next round of the game
- Click the “Cash Out” button to cash out manually or wait for the auto cashout trigger to cashout automatically
The image below shows both betting interfaces in Crash X.
For the sake of this review, we’ll place a $10 bet and cash out automatically at 2X. You’ll see in the next image that as soon as you click the place bet button and the game starts, that button turns into the cashout button, which allows you to cash out whenever you wish.
Despite this being the “manual” betting mode, Crash X still demands you set an auto cashout multiplier as a safety trigger. However, as you can see in the image above, you can still click the orange “Cash Out” button at any time.
We didn’t cash out manually, and we waited for the 3X auto cashout multiplier to be reached. Well, we never reached it and lost it all. Sometimes that’s just how it goes.
Once you mastered using one betting interface, you can try placing two simultaneous bets with both betting interfaces. However, make sure you’re really focused because things can get out of hand really fast.
Auto Mode
Pressing the place bet button between each round is both exciting and boring. When you’re feeling confident enough, we recommend you make the switch to what Turbo Games call the “Autoplay” mode. You can access it by clicking the little “repeat” button in the top left corner of the place bet button.
Once you click the little round button we circled in the image above, the autoplay menu opens up. In order to access all the possible settings, we also recommend you click the “PRO setting” toggle at the bottom of this window.
Crash X provides players with the following automated betting features:
- Just like in manual betting mode, you’ll need to decide on a bet amount
- The next setting is new, you’ll need to decide on the number of rounds you wish to automate, If you leave it at 0, the game will place bets until you close the game or run out of funds.
- You will also need to decide on an auto cashout multiplier. You won’t be able to cash out manually in the autoplay mode.
- The additional “PRO” settings allow you to increase or reset your bet amount either on a win or on a loss. This is great for automation crash gambling strategies like the Martingale.
- Last but not least, Crash X also offers a unique feature that allows you to stop the autoplay process as soon as you hit the first win. This is a great function for those that wish to hunt for a big multiplier!
Despite engaging the autoplay mode, you can still use both betting interfaces. This allows you to play with one betting interface in manual and one with the autoplay mode. Or both with the autoplay mode.
The possibilities are endless, and if you want to make the most out of it, we recommend you check out our guide to crash gambling strategies to learn more.
We decided to automate 5 rounds with a $10 bet and a 3X cash-out multiplier. As you can see in the image below, we did quite well!
You can stop the autoplay mode at any given moment by simply clicking the big blue “Stop Autoplay” button. That is it! We recommend you start with small bets and closely observe your progress. If things go south, stop the autoplay process and rethink your strategy.
Compared to games like Aviator by Spribe, Crash X is not the most feature-filled crash game; however, they have some unique features we’d like to see in other games as well. Here are all the additional game features that’ll make your time in this game even more exciting!
Flight Monitor & Ranks
We couldn’t wait to tell you about the Crash X flight monitor and ranking system! You can access this feature by clicking the big military badge right below the game name. The image below depicts the exact location.
Once you click on that badge button, a new window opens up where you can:
- Change your nickname
- See the numbers of flights you accomplished
- Brag about the maximum multiplier you cashed out at
- Check the amount of time you spent “flying”
- See the average multiplier you cashed out at
- Check your current rank and all the other ranks and the requirements to reach it
The account we used to make screenshots on was only a “Recruit” (level 2), but if you really dedicate your time to this game, you can quickly make it to the top.
You better start playing!
You’ll need to accomplish 75000 flights to reach the final, “Lord Supercluster” level!
Live Bets
Interest in how many players are participating in each round and how much they are betting? You’re in luck! On the left side of the game, you’ll find a live bets section that clearly displays all of that and the ranks of each player as well.
We also love the fact that you can see how much other players are winning in real-time. This is a feature we love seeing in crash games.
Betting History
You can see the results of the past 35 rounds of Crash X on the result strip at the top of the game. However, if you’ll want to check out your personal betting history, you’ll need to head out to the “My bets” section of the settings in the top right corner of the game.
Within the “My bet” menu, you’ll find all your past bets, and you can even click on each of the rounds to see the exact details of each round.
Clicking on one of the past rounds opens up another window that contains the following details of the round:
- Your player ID & nickname
- Date and time of the round
- Your bet amount, multiplier, and payout amount
- A chart that displays when the multiplier crashed
- The hash value of the round that can be used to check the fairness of the game.
This all seems great, but it’s also an area of the game where our team members all wrote down the same issue: How in the world do we check the fairness in the game?
There are no instructions on the game provider’s website, nor is there any information in the game itself. What should we do with this hash value? We emailed the game provider and have yet to receive an answer.
Pros & Cons of Crash X
It was all fun and games in this game until we were all deeply disappointed about the fact that there is a serious lack of information when it comes to provable fairness. Nonetheless, here are all the things we like and dislike about Crash X.
We loved the…
âś… Amazingly smooth & fun gameplay
âś… Innovative player ranking system
âś… Astonishing multipliers
âś… Great automated betting options
✅ Seeing other player’s bets in real-time
âś… Dual betting interfaces and their responsiveness
However, we were disappointed by…
❌ The lack of information on provable fairness
❌ How difficult it is to find the round information
❌ The small buttons on the mobile version of the game
Final Thoughts
Crash X is a game that left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we could not stop playing! The gameplay is fast, the multipliers we saw were amazing, and climbing up that player’s ranking system is a hoot!
On the other hand, we were seriously disappointed when it came to checking the fairness of the game. Games like Crash by Stake Originals make the entire fairness-checking process incredibly simple and intuitive.
👉🏼 Turbo Games, the game developer behind Crash X, should really improve on the fairness aspect of the game to bring it up there with the best.
So is this game worth playing? Yes! Most definitely, it’s still one of our team’s favorites, and it fully deserves its spot on our list of best rocket crash gambling games. Yet, it’s not a top-five game anymore, but is it worth a shot? Certainly yes!
